Stylish simplicity

This beautiful residence in Nugegoda is an example of modern architecture that’s characterised by simplicity and elegance. A spacious car porch welcomes you at the main entrance to the three storey house, and leads to the living and dining spaces. They in turn open out onto a garden and swimming pool. The interior of the house is embellished with timber doors, minimalist furniture, and a wood and steel stairway that connects the three levels. There are three bedrooms on the first floor with specially designed closets in the passage leading to the bathrooms. The second floor presents a functional and practical office space, which includes a boardroom, a VIP area, two executive cubicles, toilets, a pantry and other facilities that a workspace requires. The office is also accessible through a spiral staircase on the side of the residence while the service area comprises a kitchen, a yard and rooms for domestic aides. A series of doors replace windows throughout the building, and allow natural light and ventilation into the interior. This enhances the overall aesthetic, and merges the indoor and outdoor spaces. There’s a vertical garden lined with bamboo together with araliya trees, and a 16 foot swimming pool outside.
