If there’s one thing we learnt in the last year (you know, besides where to buy the chicest face masks and how to actually make banana bread), it was the importance of positive stories. Something to make you smile and remind you of the good things in the world in amongst all the doom and gloom.
And the best way to do that? Babies, of course! So we thought we’d round up all the celebrities who have given birth – from JT and Jess Biel to Gigi and Zayn. Turns out there have been a lot of famous babies this year already.
Katharine McPhee and husband David Foster have just welcomed their first baby together – a bouncing baby boy. It’s the Smash actress’s first child and Foster’s first son, after having five adult daughters from his previous relationships. A rep for McPhee told People:
“Katharine McPhee and David Foster have welcomed a healthy baby boy. Mom, Dad and son are all doing wonderfully.”
Another recent baby to join the brood is Rose Leslie and Kit Harington’s firstborn. The actors have apparently welcomed their first child, a baby boy, according to reports. The actors were photographed in London together, with the baby strapped to Leslie’s chest and a rep told E! News that Leslie had given birth to a son and that they are “very, very happy”.
The famously private pair haven’t yet shared the baby’s name nor the date he was born but we are so happy for them and hoping they’re in newborn bubble bliss!
The news comes hot on the heels of another newborn; Princess Eugenie, the Queen’s grand-daughter, and Jack Brooksbank’s new arrival. The pair have welcomed a baby boy!
The royal baby, who is the Queen’s ninth great-grandchild and 11th in line to the throne, was born at 08:55 on Tuesday 9 February at the Portland Hospital in central London, weighing 8lbs 1oz.
In a statement, the palace said: “The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Duke of York, Sarah, Duchess of York, and Mr and Mrs George Brooksbank have been informed and are delighted with the news.
“Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well.”
